Semi-Finals are Set for the SWATCH FIVB World Championships 2009

Three American teams (April Ross/Jen Kessy, Tyra Turner/Angie Akers and Nicole Branagh/Elaine Youngs) started the day at the SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, but only one team advances to the semi-finals, April Ross and Jen Kessy.
April Ross and Jen Kessy advanced by defeating fellow Americans Tyra Turner and Angie Akers, 17-21, 21-12, 15-9, while Branagh and Youngs ended their tournament with a loss to Brazilians Shelda Bede and Ana Paula Connelly, 17-21, 22-20, 15-12.
