AVP

We’re not even sure what to say at this point.

Here’s an excerpt:

The AVP Tour today announced it has closed its doors due to financial hardship, cutting short the 2010 season. AVP ownership is not funding the tour and the AVP has been unsuccessful at finding new investors.
“On behalf of AVP staff we want to express our sincere gratitude to fans, players, partners and sponsors,” said Jason Hodell, AVP CEO. “Words cannot express our profound disappointment.”

Misty May-Treanor announced, on her site mistymay.com, that she will be teaming up with Nicole Branagh for the upcoming 2010 beach volleyball season.

I am very excited about the upcoming year. For those that aren’t aware, Kerri is expecting her second child (Congratulations to her and Casey), so I will be teaming up with Nicole Branagh. Nicole is such a dynamic player, it is going to be fun.

The stage is set and it will be an interesting year on the AVP Tour.

Congratulations to Kerri Walsh on her second child!

Dalhausser enjoyed a break-out year in 2006, winning eight AVP tournaments with Todd Rogers along with an FIVB Grand Slam event in Austria.
