Americans Phil Dalhausser/Todd Rogers and Brazilians Juliana Felisberta Silva/Larissa Franca win gold medals at the first-ever AVP Crocs Tour World Challenge: USA vs. Brazil. The United States won the overall Country Challenge 26-22.

After a year long absence as a professional team, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh have reunited and haven’t missed a step. The pair defeated the Brazilian team of Vanilda Leão and Angela Vieira 21-13, 17-21, 15-8 (0:52) in their opening match at the AVP Crocs Tour World Challenge: USA vs. Brazil.
In their second match, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh cruised to another win by defeating Shaylyn Bede and Ana Paula Connelly 21-16, 21-14 (0:33).
As of this posting, United States leads Brazil 10-6 after two rounds of pool play in the challenge.

Misty May-Treanor will return to professional beach volleyball at the AVP Crocs Tour World Challenge: USA vs. Brazil, Sept. 25-27. Misty May-Treanor will return and reunite with Kerri Walsh. The team will go head-to-head against the top teams from Brazil. This will be Misty’s first professional tournament after a year long absence.
