April Ross and Jen Kessy posted two-set victories over teams from Cuba and Belgium to gain sole leadership of Pool A in the 1to1energy Grand Slam. The team is clearly on a roll after their Gold at the SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger last week.

The American team April Ross and Jen Kessy defeats Brazilians Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca to win gold at the SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger.

Three American teams (April Ross/Jen Kessy, Tyra Turner/Angie Akers and Nicole Branagh/Elaine Youngs) started the day at the SWATCH FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, but only one team advances to the semi-finals, April Ross and Jen Kessy.

April Ross and Jen Kessy advanced by defeating fellow Americans Tyra Turner and Angie Akers, 17-21, 21-12, 15-9, while Branagh and Youngs ended their tournament with a loss to Brazilians Shelda Bede and Ana Paula Connelly, 17-21, 22-20, 15-12.
